The ideal candidate will:

Possess an upbeat and professional attitude
Have a strong knowledge of plants (ability to identify potential problems with plants, i.e., pests, disease, etc.)
Display excellent customer service skills with every client interaction to optimize sales
Be able to problem solve, make decisions, and think creatively
Know landscape practices to make recommendations and suggestions for customers
Show a high level of initiative and desire for excellence

Responsibilities and Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

Acquiring high-quality plant material and coordinating deliveries
Sustaining the health of plants
Creating merchandising displays
Scheduling and coordinating the work and activity of others
Organizing, planning, and prioritizing daily tasks
Help with managing inventory, sales, and expenses to maintain a profitable department
Responsible for monitoring inventory levels for re-ordering from vendors or by communicating with supervisors

Experience

Horticulture Degree
Retail sales preferred
Management experience preferred
