This associate will be responsible for the following:
•Coordinate the turf management program of the company, including scheduling, training, and providing client satisfaction through quality turf management.
•Train and direct the turf specialists and other designated application individuals on the proper methods and techniques of herbicide, pesticide, and fertilizer applications,
•Calculate proper amounts of herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizers for application.
•Assesses disease and insect problems in turf areas and performs pest and disease control operations.
•Maintain documentation and record work performed in relation to turf management at each jobsite, including MSDS file on all chemicals used, to ensure compliance with state, federal, (EPA) regulations.
•Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety, particularly with respect to chemicals and environmental practices.
The ideal candidate with have the following:
•At least 3-5 years industry experience required, preferably in a turf management role.
•Knowledge of equipment, materials, and chemicals used in a turf management program.
•Knowledge of equipment, processes, and deliverables involved in snow plow operations.
•Knowledge of chemical application, storage procedures, and safety procedures for handling chemicals properly.
•Valid Illinois “Ornamental and Turf Pest Control” operator or application license.
•Valid Illinois Driver’s License.
