Yellowstone Landscape is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to lead our Atlanta North Branch. The Operations Manager is responsible for landscape management operations and personnel, is ultimately responsible for the full scope of Landscape Management activities for our Atlanta North branch and the daily direction of Account Managers and coordination with all Irrigation and Fert/Chem Techs.

Additional Responsibilities:

– Ensuring customer confidence and understanding the needs and providing the appropriate immediate response; ensure that job site quality and appearance meet client and Yellowstone’s standards

– Understand client needs via regular communication with Account Managers

– Labor control and management of the day to day budgets; working closely with your Account Managers to ensure budgets are maintained

– Inspect and view all properties to monitor performance and job quality

– Maintain a positive work environment with employees while positively enforcing policies and procedures

– Develop long term business relationships with our clients

– Familiarity with the contracts and performance specifications for each landscape contract

– Safety enforcement with all staff ensuring weekly safety meetings are held and proper documentation is kept

– Identify equipment needs and maintain budgets for machine maintenance

– Ability to manage fleet vehicles and coordination of maintenance

– Coordinate, prioritize and oversee scheduling

– Consistent quality control check on services, irrigation and weekly maintenance staff/work

– Oversee employee time keeping reports

– Identify staffing needs and hire accordingly; oversee and approve hiring that managers are    conducting

– Direct, train, review and develop a plan for all employees and stay in communication with HR

– Manage all landscape services, including the coordination of all materials, people, equipment and subcontractors required to produce quality work

– Monitor irrigations systems, identify problems or necessary repairs, and communicate recommendations

– As necessary, perform hands-on work with crews to meet work and scheduling demands

– Ensure proper paperwork (electronically) is completed for all employee changes and hires

– Communicate with, counsel, train, discipline, review, and develop growth plans for employees

– Focus on safety and monitor safety records

– Maintain and manage all required paperwork

– Order materials as needed and monitor costs and deliveries

Requirements:

– 3 to 5 years of prior working experience in the landscaping industry in a managerial role

– 2 or 4-year degree in a landscape-related field or certification by a landscape association preferred

– Budgetary and financial prowess of operating in the landscape industry

– Possess insight, strong leadership abilities and great customer skills

– Adapt to change with the understanding that budgets are to be maintained

– Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
