IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL: 

  • Respond to basic and more complex customer questions concerning product in all areas including recommendations for substitutions, resolves a variety of customer service issues, and processes sales transactions.
  • Manage department inventory through cycle counts, identification of demand changes, and ensuring proper product mix.
  • Perform administrative functions for the department, including but not limited to product receiving, purchase orders, product transfers and defective goods disposition.
  • Coach and assist less experienced staff in meeting expected customer service and satisfaction goals.
     

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of nursery, irrigation, and landscape products and practices, as well as the ability to manage product inventory preferred.
     

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in retail nursery, irrigation and/or turfgrass industry.
