Landscape Logic of Charlevoix has openings for experienced Landscape Designers
Come talk to us if you have an Associate’s degree or more in the landscape industry, or a combination of related education and experience in landscaping. Some knowledge of computer applications, estimating and contract development are required. Plant knowledge and construction techniques are also necessary for this position. We are looking for team players with integrity, a high attention to detail and a high concentration on customer service. This is a full time, salaried, year-round position with benefits.
Our Designers will be working together with Project Managers on their site analysis, initiating design concepts, producing completed designs and creating estimates and proposals for our client’s prestigious lakeshore properties.
Landscape Designer Job Responsibilities Include:
- Collect information from Project Manager and establish a budget.
- Request surveys/retrieve measurements for proposed job.
- Develop property map/plan with home and buildings/permanent structures on site.
- Establish site special considerations, lakefront, wetland etc. Investigate via county/township maps, codes/regulations, setbacks, planting restrictions.
- Introduce creative ideas or elements, encouraging innovative and progressive designs for the area.
- Create project cost estimates. Seek out special items/plant materials and costs.
- Work with Project Manager to create presentation packet, including proposals, photo packets (developed for individual job), and /or materials info and photos.
- Produce designs and estimates in the allotted time frame expected.
