The Restaurant and Market Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of the hospitality and sales, staffing, customer service, food safety, and general operations in the Market, Café, and in support of dinners, festivals, and other food related events. They will promote and drive business to our many different facets of operation through food-related events and activities, while also managing the planning and execution of the operations and financial responsibilities in accordance with organizational goals of those departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Development and Product Display: Product selection and menu development for our farm direct market and restaurant. Menus will be for daily breakfast and lunch service, catered events, pop ups and more
- Operations: Vendor relations, inventory, maintain food safety, hire, develop, and train staff,
- scheduling, and delivering performance reviews. Monitor equipment quality and keep licensing
- up to standards.
- Inventory Control / Budget Management: Write and manage to budget, including product selection, labor control, marketing collaboration
- Leadership: Lead, manage, and hold accountable front and back of house staff. Partner with allother management to execute successful operations across all departments
Essential Job Duties:
- Collaborates with Farm Manager for ingredient utilization to minimize food waste and maximize profit
- Partners with Events Manager to plan and prepare the food portion of all events
- Leads and manages Market Coordinator on promotions, cross merchandising, value added items, and food waste reduction
- Develop and maintain value added in deli and produce selections in the market
- Comply with local DOH food safety standards and ensure standards are followed
- Create and maintain vendor relations, ordering, inventory management
- Oversee guest experience, front and back of house
- Employee development and training
- Maintain fast and accurate service
- Staffing and scheduling
- Responsible for financials by creating and managing to a budget
- Other duties as assigned
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for alcohol products, including certification, assortment selection, vendor relations, pricing and promotions
- Collaborate with leadership team special events and marketing campaigns
- Collaborate with the agriculture team to best utilize seasonal produce
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Shows passion for and knowledge of true farm to table cuisine
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work within established systems as well as create new systems as need
- Powerful desire to work as a team

- Ability to work in a fast past and changing environment
Minimum Qualifications:
- Required: 3+ years of Scratch Kitchen work experience
- Required: 5+ years of experience in food preparation and management
- Required: Experienced in menu creation
- Required: 3+ years of team management experience
- Required: Manager serve safe/food handlers’ card & liquor card
- Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
