Bracy's Nursery is seeking an experienced Plant Grower/Production Professional to maintain the health and productivity of the nursery, as well as, guide and direct field laborers in the production of crops that meet the company's quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of growing functions, such as, planting, management of crop growth, shearing, irrigation, weeding, the nutritional needs of various crops, and pesticide application. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have the ability to supervise work crews while maximizing work efficiency through strong leadership and communication with workers and management. Candidates must have extensive knowledge of trees, ornamental trees and shrubs, as well as perennials. Candidates must possess a strong work ethic, advanced problem-solving skills, and planning experience. The ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus. Those with knowledge of plant disease and their management with pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides are preferred. Those who can mentor and train less experienced grower technicians are also preferred. This position requires the ideal candidate to be able to work rotating weekends, extended spring hours and as needed during freezing weather emergencies.
