Irrigation technician will be responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining residential and commercial irrigation systems. Duties will include but not limited to: installing irrigation systems, knowing functions and installing irrigation clocks/timers, locating zones, low voltage electrical wiring, start-up and shut-down of systems according to seasonal priorities, repairing broken or damage systems, keeping inventory of irrigation supplies. Duties can include work outside of irrigation type duties. These can include other landscape maintenance work, for example: planting, mulching, general clean-up, trimming, mowing, etc. Main focus through the year, spring, summer and fall, will be irrigation type work and during the winter season the focus will be general maintenance to customer properties. Minimum earning is $40,000 a year and can be up to $50,000.
Expectations and requirements
Irrigation technician will have to have a valid TN or VA driver's license and be 21 years or older. Motor vehicle record must be clean (no traffic violations or suspension). Must be willing and pass C03-pesticide certification within first 3 month of employment. Must have positive attitude and drive to have continual education of the green industry. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Experience in irrigation is preferred, but not necessary.
