There are three of us who take care of the gardens; myself, my estate manager, and my horticulturalist. After years of keeping up my end, I find that my advancing age (I'm 71) prevents me from doing the things I used to be able to do. Thus, I need someone to take up the slack that I have left. I believe the job will be full time and year round, with the busiest season being the Spring. In Winter, my three greenhouses need quite a bit of attention; germinating and propagating plants for Spring planting, taking care of tender plants that overwinter in the greenhouses, maintaining my display greenhouse filled with rare and tropical plants. In Spring and Summer, my vegetable garden and cut flower garden need to be weeded and cleaned up. In short, there is plenty to occupy an assistant gardener, and much to be learned, as well.
