Moss Greenhouses, Idaho’s largest bedding plant grower and 4^th generation owned, greenhouse operation, has several openings for Growers including.

Young Plant Grower- This position would be responsible for growing bedding plants and perennials from seed or URC’s in a controlled environment in assorted plug trays ensuring quality plugs at all times and that they are ready for transplant when scheduled.

Ornamental Bedding Plant Grower- This position will be responsible for growing quality bedding plants, perennials, and hanging baskets in their finished sizes which would include, pacs, 4”, gallons, 2 gallons, hanging baskets, and patio planters. These greenhouse ranges will be both controlled and open air based on the crops assigned to them. Maintaining quality standards and hitting our desired sales window is paramount to this position.

Individuals that take accountability and will always strive to grow the best quality bedding plants, perennials and hanging baskets for our 7-state geographical shipping territory.

As a Grower for Moss Greenhouses, you will be responsible for the following.

Lead a greenhouse team with clarity, direction, accountability, and oversee the various stages of plant growth.

Maintain diligent daily records.

Scout for pests and disease.

Apply chemical or fertilizer as needed.

Always have a clean greenhouse range.

Stay up to date with pest management and best practices.

Qualifications

A degree in Horticulture, Agriculture or

2 plus years’ experience in commercial plant cultivation in a greenhouse setting.

Strong knowledge of plant species and pest control measures.

Excellent Communication skills.

Detailed oriented and able to make quick sound decisions.

Ability to be hands on.

Desirable bilingual English/Spanish speaker.

Expected hours: 40+ per week.
